Applications are now open for International Teacher Programmes at CERN in summer 2017!
In summer 2017, CERN will offer two residential programmes for high school physics teachers. Both programmes will be delivered entirely in English and are open for teachers from around the world. The annual 3-week International High School Teacher (HST) Programme will be on 2-22 July 2017, while a new addition to the calendar sees the International Teacher Weeks (ITW) Programme taking place on 6-19 August 2017.
Teachers can find out more and apply via the CERN Teacher Programmes website (cern.ch/teachers) until 31 December 2016.

The first S’Cool LAB Summer CAMP will take place from 23 July to 5 August 2017.
Selected high school students (aged 16-19) will have the opportunity to explore the scientific universe of CERN, while acquiring new theoretical and pratical skills in physics. The programme will consist of lectures and tutorials, visits of CERN's research facilities and hands-on workshops in S'Cool LAB, as well as social events. Participation is free of charge, and CERN will cover costs for participants' travel, accommodation and meals.
Students can find out more and apply via the S'Cool LAB website (cern.ch/s-cool-lab) until 20 January 2017.
Proposal submission is now open for the 2017 Beamline for Schools Competition!
CERN is offering high school students from around the world the chance to create and perform a scientific experiment on a CERN accelerator beamline. In its fourth edition, the Beamline for Schools (BL4S) Competition is open to teams of at least 5 students aged 16 and up with at least one adult supervisor, or "coach".
The two winning teams (nine members and up to two adult coaches) will be invited to CERN for 10-12 days to carry out their experiments on the beamline. Other attractive prizes, such as a particle detector for the schools, are also available for highly commended teams.
Students along with their coaches can find out more and submit their proposals via the Beamline for Schools Competition website (cern.ch/BL4S) until 31 March 2017.
